You all may have been hearing the buzz about Google Web Stories! It's a great, new way to drive additional traffic to your blog. KariAnne Wood of Thistlewood Farms is giving us the 411 on Google Web Stories
What are Google Web Stories?
They are similar to other story formats that you've used before (Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest) with one main difference. Google Web Stories are hosted on your blog instead. They incorporate video, audio, text and animation to add another dimension to your current content. They are also completely customizable for your brand.
How does this benefit my blog?
It's an amazing way for your blog to get discovered in Google Search. Right now, Google Web Stories are getting even more push and visibility on Google's platform which can translate to additional clicks and views on your blog.
How do I get started with Google Web Stories?
For WordPress bloggers, start by downloading the Web Story editor created by Google to your dashboard. It's a plug-in that works with your blog. For non WordPress bloggers, check out these alternative options from Google and MakeStories. Add animation, videos and other elements to your Google Web Story and publish it on a blog post that corresponds to the story you created.
